First transnational meeting “M1 – Training Course & Study Visit for Sport Coaches” has been realized in Klatovy & Prague/Czechia between 26-30.09.2021 at the same time with European Week of Sport. The aim of meeting was fostering the cooperation between CSOs, Sport Associations and Schools in international context and to exchange the good practices and know how on Values Education (Olympic Values) can be used to combat with health and safety hazards. During these 5 days, visit to Klatovy Municipality – Czech National Olympic Committee and meeting with Mr. Egemen Bağış, who is the Ambassador of Republic of Turkey in Prague and Former EU Affairs Minister are held. Also, Thematic Sessions on Safety and Health Hazards, Values Education Through Sport Methodologies, Local Implementation planning are held to multiply the methodology. From practical aspects, sample trainings with BK Klatovy U15 Boys & Girls teams are held in the scope of European Week of Sport activities. In total, 20 participants consisting of sport coaches, sports trainers and sport teachers found opportunity to take part in this activity.
The second transnational project meeting “M2 – International Conference & Youth Mobility” has been realized in Istanbul Turkey between 27-31.10.2021 with the participation of 64 participants from 4 countries. The main aim of the meeting was creating a common ground for the young athletes to play sport in multicultural atmosphere and providing open space for them to exchange their opinions about Sport Ethics and Olympic Values. In addition, multiplying the effect of Training Module among various stakeholders is aimed to gather attention to the innovative methodology. During these 5 days meeting, an International Conference with the participation of stakeholders from public – civil – sport sectors are held at the Olympic House in Istanbul; 3×3 Basketball Tournament is done on Republic Day of Turkey in cooperation with Bayrampaşa Municipality. Thematic Sessions are held to support the competences raising of the young athletes on taking initiative, communication in mother and foreign languages, cultural awareness and expression. Young Athletes planned their awareness campaigns to spread the philosophy of Olympism in more youth-friendly languages. All participants also found chance to discover Istanbul with cultural and historical trips and attended to Euroleague match between Anadolu Efes (TR) – Zalgiris (LT).
The third and final project meeting “M3 – Administrative (Closing) Meeting” has been held between 27-30.11.2021 in Šiauliai/Lithuania. The purpose of the final project meeting in Šiauliai was to evaluate the activities implemented by the partner organisations, held a Closing Conference and to get acquainted with Lithuania. In these 4 days meeting, a Closing Conference held to multiply the effect of the value-oriented sport activities and Training Module. Also, the young athletes which participated in M2 meeting in Istanbul have prepared presentation about their experiences with their peers from 4 countries. Administrative Meeting is sheld to evaluate the implemented activities, plan the local dissemination seminars and planning the Final Report phase. In the last activity day, a visit to Lithuanian National Olympic Committee is done. Last but not least, historical and cultural visits are done to know more about the Lithuanian history.
